But not when I first started out list building. Back in 2009 you could do good quality email adswaps and build your list at an exponential rate.
Not anymore.
Back in the day, you would find ethical list builders that would specifically promote your offer to their list and would get quality, engaging subscribers.
Today you can’t do that.
Before, list builders actually cared about their subscribers.
Today, most email marketers employ the ‘churn and burn’ strategy.
I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time doing email adswaps or buying solo ads for traffic. Even if you get traffic from the U.S., the engagement level is very low as they are already on so many lists.
Instead, I’d recommend you use other strategies to build your list and to get traffic. Today I use video marketing and blogging for free traffic, and PPV for paid traffic.
